The Glenlivet, the world's most celebrated single malt whisky, is Scotland's first legally distilled single malt. The distinctive flavors of The Glenlivet are produced from the finest malted barley, provided by a single exclusive maltster, and the pure soft spring water from Josie's Well, which is fed by high rainfalls and winter snows. Today, over four million bottles a year of The Glenlivet are produced in all its different expressions, but the essential ingredients haven't changed over the years.

The wild and remote setting of Glenlivet situated in the heart of Speyside high up in the Highlands of Scotland has been its home for nearly two centuries. The pure ingredients of The Glenlivet are distilled twice in the unique tall and slender Glenlivet stills. The Glenlivet uses casks made of white oak imported from Bourbon distillers and Spanish sherry makers to contribute a unique character to the spirit. The pure mountain air seeps gently into the oak barrels, creating a soft and elegant character. Only after at least 12 years in cask, when the rich balanced flavors have been created, is The Glenlivet seen fit to bottle, and sent out into the world to be enjoyed.
